Smallest linear encoder using non-contact magnetostriction method
Compact absolute-linear measuring system
Smallest linear encoder using non-contact magnetostriction method
With the LMRB27 TR-Electronic has brought a new, ultra-compact linear measuring system to market. The sensor itself is integrated into a pressure-resistant stainless steel casing, while the sensor head has a diameter of just 27 mm. This combination will fit into hydraulic cylinders even in restricted spaces and enables absolute position detection close to the process. Measuring systems with an analog interface (-10..10V, 0..10V or 0..20mA, 4..20mA) deliver the measured values directly from the compact sensor head. Other interfaces, also including Industrial Ethernet (PROFINET, Ethernet Powerlink, EtherCAT and Ethernet/IP), are output via a remote interface box. The connection between sensor head and interface may be up to 2 m long. The connection can be disconnected at the interface electronics with a high-density M12 connector. The resolution and accuracy of measuring systems in the LMRB27 series are optimized for basic applications. They are available for measurement lengths up to 2 m.
